Textbook and content of the module

Students are guided through the textbook, English for Chemistry”, featuring an intergraded syllabus of all four skills (listening, speaking reading and writing).

They are asked to read and understand chemistry-related articles, perform scientific vocabulary tasks, effectively use functions of language such as expressing cause and effect, avoiding being wordy and expressing purpose.

Although grammar is not the main focus of this course, students will also be guided through some grammar exercises (B2 level) viewed as a facilitator of meaning in context.
